This thread also considers the Avocado as a (global) crop. One eaten widely by the Mexica and still found or incorporate-able into just about any contemporary Mexican Dish. Upon googling "Best Mexican restaurants in the world" why is it that number one is in Denmark? Avocados don't grow in Denmark.
