Matt Nish-Lapidus is an artist and musician interested in our ever-changing relationship to computation, media, and information, and how the mediated environment shapes our individualization. Through sound, video, software, and performance, Matt aims to explore the aesthetic, ethic, and politics of contemporary network technology through an examination of its history and the edges of utility. Matt has performed and exhibited at InterAccess, Vector Festival, ACUD Macht Neu, Mayhem Copenhagen, Click Festival, Electric Eclectics, and more. His ongoing musical projects include New Tendencies, må, 160ppm, and numerous collaborations.


Matt Nish-Lapidus is an artist and musician interested in cybernetics, computation, technology infrastructure, media, and information. Through sound, video, software, and sculpture, Matt aims to explore contemporary network technology through an examination of its history, politics, and the edges of utility. Matt has performed and exhibited at ACUD Macht Neu (Berlin), Electric Eclectics Festival (Meaford, Ontario), InterAccess (Toronto), Field Work (Perth, Ontario), Mayhem (Copenhagen), Click Festival (Helsingør) and many DIY spaces in North America and Europe. His ongoing musical projects include New Tendencies, må, Soft Thoughts, and many impromptu collaborations.
