Sameen Mahboubi was born on the territories of the Anishinabewaki, the Attiwonderonk and the Haudenosaunee. Sameen currently resides on the land of the Anishinabewaki, Haudenosaunee and the Huron-Wendat.


Sameen Mahboubi is an emerging art writer from Hamilton based in Tkaronto/Toronto. Mahboubi has a BA in Visual Critical Studies from OCADU and previously holds a diploma in Social Service Work from Mohawk College. Mahboubi is interested in ecology, geography and urbanism and the relationships we all share with public space.
Sameen is one of four co-founders and directors of Hearth, a DIY space at the intersection of Bathurst and Ulster in Tkaronto.
